Part of a team that organizes concerts and events throughout the Tallahassee area. Also responsible for creating new concepts or ideas for future concerts or events. Other duties include working with grassroots businesses in the Tallahassee area and providing underwriting.
This experience helped me improve in my interpersonal communication and develop a professional voice when addressing other businesses.

Coral Reef Senior High Show Committee, Miami, Florida; Show Coordinator; 08/10-06/11
I was selected by my teachers to serve as Show Coordinator for the music department. I organized and ran the Show Committee meetings as well as planned out the show's rehearsal schedule. I also lead over 200 students to create three musical productions throughout the academic year.
Being Show Coordinator gave me the opportunity to lead a large group of people. I learned about dealing with people from all types of backgrounds and encouraging individuals to work together and finish goals.

MMC4300 Diffusion of Innovations ; Florida State University ; Fall 2013 3.0 credit hours
One of the assignments for the course was to write a research paper and create a PowerPoint on an innovation that is no longer in use. I used databases and PowerPoint in order to research and create a timeline on the innovation of the VHS. I also explained the five step diffusion process and what new innovations replaced the VHS. This class made me learn more about the different types of databases the school has to offer as well as know how to apply researching techniques in order to write a paper.

Jackson Memorial Hospital , Miami, Florida; Student Volunteer ; 06/09-08/09 & 06/10-08/10
Interacted with children in the Oncology and Transplant ward. Responsibilities included playing/entertaining the children, being part of a child's emotional support system, and assisting in basic medical procedures. Other duties include organizing small events such as parties for the children.
I learned to interact and work with children from all types of backgrounds and social standing. I gained new insight into just how strong a child can be in tragic or grim situations. I became aware that individuals who have an illness or disorder should be treated equally and are not less of a human being because of their current health status.

By working together effectively, we have been able to successfully promote local bands and the radio station through our organized concerts and musical events.
